Current Students Considering a Biology Major
Current WWU students who are interested in the Biology Major are welcome to attend any of the quarterly pre-major general advising sessions, weekly Drop-in Advising Labs, or schedule an individual advising appointment with the Department’s General Advisors.
Contact email@example.com or 360.650.6165 to schedule an appointment.
Prospective WWU Students with a Biology Interest
Prospective first-year students who are not yet admitted to Western are encouraged to contact WWU Admissions to schedule a visit to campus during a Discovery Days event. Discovery Days include an opportunity for prospective students and their families to connect with academic departments. The Biology Department offers a brief presentation followed by a Q&A session at 10:30am in BI 315 during each Discovery Days event.
Prospective transfer students interested in Western and planning to pursue a biology major should contact the Biology Department as soon as possible for advising. In some cases, transfer students may need to apply to full Biology Major status well in advance of their first quarter at Western in order to have access to upper level biology courses when they register. More information and tips for transfer students
Transfer students may also elect to visit campus during a scheduled Transfer Days event and will have the opportunity to attend a brief presentation and Q&A session with a biology department advisor.
