Prospective WWU Students with a Biology Interest

First-Year Students

Prospective first-year students who are not yet admitted to Western are encouraged to contact WWU Admissions to schedule a visit to campus during a Discovery Days event. Discovery Days include an opportunity for prospective students and their families to connect with academic departments. The Biology Department offers a brief virtual  presentation followed by a Q&A session at 1:30PM on scheduled Discovery Days. Please visit this page to confirm your attendance at the departmental online presentation.

Transfer Students

Prospective transfer students interested in Western and planning to pursue a biology major should contact the Biology Department as soon as possible for advising. In some cases, transfer students may need to apply to full Biology Major status well in advance of their first quarter at Western in order to have access to upper level biology courses when they register. More information and tips for transfer students

Transfer students may also elect to visit campus during a scheduled Transfer Days event and will have the opportunity to attend a brief presentation and Q&A session with a biology department advisor.
